Treating the Holy Spirit

II. The Spirit can be treated and acted like a person

The Holy Spirit suffers personal slights and injuries. He can be

1. Lied to (Acts 5:3) As Ananias and his wife Sapphira were guilty of doing "...why has Satan filled their heart to lie to the Holy Spirit...?" (Acts 5:3).

2. Tempted (Acts 5:9);

3. Resisted (Acts 7:51) As Stephen charged the Jewish leaders of doing, Ac 7:51. This they did byresisting the message and persecuting the messengers who were inspired by the Holy Spirit - cf. (Acts 7: 52-53);

4. Grieved (Eph. 4:30) “Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God." He can be made sorrowful through their willful neglect;

5. Outraged (Heb. 10:29);

6. Blasphemed against (Matt 12:31) That is, to be spoken evil of. As in attributing His deeds to the works of Satan .The person who insult the Holy Spirit may sin against Him with a “unforgivable sin" - Mt 12:31-32;

7. Called upon (Ezek. 37:9);

8. Insulted. One who has "trampled the Son of God underfoot" has also "insulted the Spirit of grace" (Heb 10:29) This is done by sinning "willfully" – (Heb 10:26) Therefore it clearer and clearer that the Holy Spirit is a Person who can be act upon and Christians must be careful to treat Him as a Person.

Look for these verses in KJV, CUV, and NIV and NKJV, are they identical, are they telling us the same Holy Spirit! Are we having head knowledge and continue to pursue more and more, without the life from the Spirit? Is this what the KJV want us to look for? It is the promise from the Holy Spirit, a Bible, which promote difficulties, bringing more burdens and heartaches for the fainting heart?

Where is the flow of the Holy Spirit in my heart, after all this while, where is that comforts that I wanting for, where can I receive the comforts from!

Do not follow me, because I am lost! ....Written by a lost soul! Where is the power of God?
